Introduction
Summary
An entrepreneurial powerhouse, innovator and Founder of several successful businesses, Jac’s relentless empire spans business networking, events, media and entertainment.

Jac’s journey has been one filled with twists, turns and downright determination. As a single mother of two young children, she is living proof that you can in fact, have it all. Her deep desire to empower women to feel fabulous and confident enough to follow their dreams is the reason behind her latest venture, Business in Heels.

Founded in early 2013, Business in Heels has taken the business networking industry by storm with a winning formula that helps women connect and support each other - in business, health, relationships and every other aspect of their lives.

What started as a Sydney-only community has grown rapidly into a franchise model that now spans almost 50 Branches internationally. Each Branch event attracts between 40-90 savvy female business owners and numbers continue to rise month by month. The brand currently resides in Australia, USA, Canada, UAE, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, Spain & Nepal, with Branch applications coming in thick and fast from every corner of the globe.

Before embarking on her journey as an entrepreneur, Jac was director of the The Bijou Group, appointed to the advisory team for Sydney Mardi Gras and Producer of Short+Sweet festivals (the biggest little play festival in the world) in Sydney & Canberra.

Jac’s work to date and her powerful offline and online presence has enabled her to add another string to her “Bowie”. Passionate about giving back, Jac was appointed an Ambassador for the Sanfilippo Children's Foundation – a new organisation established to help those who suffer from an extremely rare disease that affects one child in every 70,000.

Ambassador
Sanfilippo Children's Foundation
11/2013
I am so thrilled to share that I have joined the Sanfilippo Children's Foundation as one of their Ambassadors. This is a new organisation for an extremely rare disease that affects 1 child in every 70,000.

The disease does not yet have a cure and only limited palliative treatment currently exist; average life expectancy is 15-20 years. However medical research has recently achieved promising break-throughs with real hopes for the future and supporting this organisation will make an actual difference now and in the near future as this research is able to take place as a result.

I, together with Business In Heels will be proactively helping to raise awareness of the Foundation and Sanfilippo through our networks and events amongst other working support with them.

CEO & Founder
Business in Heels
1/2013-12/2014
Today, as CEO and founder of one of the fastest growing women’s networking events in the world, she proudly stands as head of an empire of heel-clad business women wielding an appetite for success and a glass full of bubbles.

Following some well-timed career advice from Sir Richard Branson, Jac changed direction and dove head first into her passion for Burlesque. She went on to produce high profile events around the world including Miss Burlesque International, The Burlesque Ball, The Ruby Revue and also bespoke events and entertainment for high-end clients.

This was Jac’s first empire; it was here that she began to amass her now huge social media following of more than 30,000 Facebook fans and 20,000 Twitter followers. She began to write a book (as one does when one is at the pinnacle of success). And then it all fell apart. She found herself alone, couch-surfing with two kids, out of work and with a broken ankle to boot. It was during this time that the idea for a fresh alternative to networking came to her. When she most needed it.

The concept was simple: Attract the RIGHT women, put them in the RIGHT space, and allow them to connect socially FIRST. If they hit it off, they will FIND a way to WORK TOGETHER.She called it Business In Heels, the name of her still unwritten book.

After three events, Jac was approached to license the event to another producer in Melbourne. By the time the contract was finished, there were 15 branches. As we write this there are 43 and counting..
